Time

It is the most audacious claim we can have about life. Owning time, wasting time and giving it away (I have time, I can give you time and waste time reading my blog)

What do we really have then? We can be lazy and let the chips fall where they may, and they will. The littlest of efforts will get us somewhere. We are projectiles in a planet in constant motion. With a mind that seeks meaning.
With a powerful mind that seeks validation in controlling his destiny. A powerful mind that is obsessed with controlling time. We call it planning. We call it preparation.

The obsession is countered by faith. The desire to believe. The hunger to define what our senses interpret as real beyond electrical impulses. The desire to trust and be in unison with another; a loved one, a family, a team.
And we nurture the people around us with time. We give them time. We invest ourselves to another with time. Heartbreaks are painful because of wasted time. Moments that no longer have purpose or usefulness. And only time can heal it. Restore faith.

All of these we should do in a finite amount of time. We were never in control of our birth so we obsess about the in between. A life we try to own. A life we can call our own.

What we have. What we take. What we can give away. We have time. Use it until you don’t have time anymore.
