Trapped in Trapik

what the
All This for What?

Nobody on the road is much douche-ier than hazard lights leading an expensive car pass through tight traffic flow. Flanked by pair of police patrol motorcycles, it doesn’t matter if they weave by you with or without their sirens blaring. It’s not as if their arrogance and misplaced sense of entitlement get muted when they only use blinking lights to announce their importance. I’d rather let them use their “wang wangs” so that it can drown out the invectives hurled at their direction.

I also wish that there’s an app that can help me track the owner of the car/SUV in question (most likely a politico), locate people who voted for them and tag them with the footage where the prominent incompetent is seen pushing his weight amongst the plebes. No, don’t get me wrong, I find shaming voters for their choices divisive and ineffective as some do to the 16M who voted for the current president. What this app should do is find data regarding the politico from legislation and issues he supported to his latest accomplishments that aided his constituents to better opportunities (Yes, better opportunities than dole-outs).  Then engage a random supporter asking him to weigh in, asking them “All this for that?”. Maybe the douche supporter will say something that we all say about someone close to us who did something indefensible “Mabait naman yan…” (with intended translation as “He’s good when you get to know him…”) You let out a deep sigh and hope to feel reassured. It’s as reassuring as that friend who finds out that their spouse for years has been philandering on the side and chose to stick it out with them. Maybe I’ll feel reassured and say “Oh well…”

“There’s now free education, lower taxes and more hospital that offer free services billed to PAGCOR and PCSO regardless of your economic standing…”

“Oh well…”

But if the reply is more in line with the revulsion a driver feels as the douche and his goons forces its way, then we can move on to plotting a revolution to unseat this motherfudger.
