Ah, but she said get off
Never to meet again
Serendipity need not end in bliss
No matter how propitious the beginning
And I complied
Take it like a man, right?
Up until I met
How crazy my mind could get
On a three hour bus ride
Home (where it’s usually just minutes, 45)
As what transpired replayed
There were no ill signs or arguments
Yet traversing dismay
Consumed by dreary thoughts alone
From this hill
Her choice may have been smart
To force a wake up
As the dream gets too unexpectedly boon
Can’t stay in a state
Against what short sighted reality dictates
Not to overspend time
Staring at stars and the moon
Predictably
I walked myself to back to sanity
Trips we take that
When we get back home
Shelter never feels the same
In time courage enabled,
Say, we healed this soon
And there may be no scar
But we’re always keen, see the wound
