The Things We Learned at the Post

Life, been designed
Lived like a death sentence
For most
Told to dream
But not fulfill it
They’ll be kicking your bed
The moment the REMs start kicking in
Free to roam within our cages
That we help build
walls with
Taxes
No time will feel more pointless than now
When the war is not going to be won
With inspiring speeches
Awe filled afterglow
Of a sky on fire
This is a war about how far
We’ve come to educating
Those among us with the least
Those among us on a leash
For too long now
And how the ruling class
Kept us in line
And some would be scared enough to die
And some would be too stupid to realize
That we will if we blindly comply
Hopefully most would find
That now is the time
Revolutionize
To a better direction
Raised intentions, blanket pretension
Fed full then left dry
And we’ll get through
With a better sense of how to be Alive
