One Way Familiarity

The unfamiliar
Always introduce herself to me
With the ease of a biker
Piercing holes in a tight traffic
Running thrice as fast than everybody else
Pissing all as it passes by
And that’s how she came
With that certainty on her face
Beaming eyes, smile
Even the flare on her nostrils
So sure
And I’m lost
Not just two blocks away
Not the same frequency
Not the same language
I languish to catch up
If only to be polite
To someone
Who claims to have me as a
Character playing a bit
in her well written life
I’m drawing blanks
As she kept going
I learned
It didn’t matter what I know
Or the struggle I’m flailing
In this abyss
She just wants to be amused
Like collecting odd colored rocks
By the shore
During some memorable moment
That she tabbed for the world
And our interaction
Was that in the sand bed of millions
And a nod validates the bookmark
As she passed by
And I won’t remember again
