The pill let me borrow time
Temporarily feel better
Incipiently I fought both
Pain and it’s supposed relief
For that which buys me time
Will be tomorrow’s thief
The cap warrants a full stomach
For it won’t cure the pang hunger brings
Urges urged
set urgent traps
Allow a few hours to
settle in
This chronic crucible overwhelms
Makes me yearn for normalcy
Yearn for the same one
Before now
And despair, this stems
Extend a reach
More than what I am allowed
