Fish Neck

From the acrylic walls I thought I was the biggest fish in the pond

Swimming with sharks, 
I’d rather
Be beached in
With fins firm in the sand

Either way
Running out of breath
Or the heart’s crazy pace
This cyclopean ocean
Bounds my fate
