That Takes A While

Took me sometime to figure out I

Was crossing a harrowed invisible line

Blindsided, the blinking lights

The fleeting thoughts escaping

Through a barrage of “Whys”

But it kept on pouring

The wrong reply

In this storm

It may take a while

We take our stance, defend, minimize
The exchange is never to enlighten
As it is confusing, vilify
What I thought was done right
the list is now up to number five

The heart gets number, fired
Up with question marks
This one has jumped the shark
The floor and ceiling flattened as a pile
What’s done, what’s undone
Will certainly be that takes a while
