Defiant
To this world
And its attempt
To beat me up to compliance

Heirarchy
He shook my hand
Back in the day when you can do such
He put on his public mask
Smiling at the burden that comes with fame
And I tried to speak
As if we were on the same level
He treated me like we were
Earth
She doesn’t mind getting cruel… get in a duel… Light this fuel… Turn her back and leave what’s behind her in flames
Remote Control
There is a certain peculiarity
A kid witnesses an adult
Fade and drift to a snoring bliss
As a device that blacks out
After an amount of idle minutes
And with chronic regularity
Son did not even try taking
Tuned In
Doesn’t happen very often
Does fuel one for days
A spring of inspiration
An existence unexplained
Hiding in plain sight
Overture, delight
You came and you’ve no idea
Of the weight of
Pain Relief
The pill let me borrow time
Temporarily feel better
Incipiently I fought both
Pain and it’s supposed relief
For that which buys me time
Will be tomorrow’s thief
The cap warrants
Years Begin
The day starts with her opening her eyes
Catching a glimpse of my face
She’d bloom gently into a smile
And some days she’d find me by our round dining table
Engrossed in something worth doing
Greets me the
Fumes
Once I convince the mind
About having nothing to say
And the bed of denial
Is on feathery lay
To the dismay
Of days drawn blanks
Sell the dark tracks
Bit Bait, Pierced Lips
The innocence
The malice
Coexists in a mind
With no clear intention
Unjust fixation
The lure is a shiny foil she can’t resist
Line’s cast,
Destitute’s Houri
This debt will never get paid
Seldom mercy is the other poison you take
When kindness is rare
Gratefulness doubles in desperate hours
